Stir Fried Cabbage and Noodles~ Simple Moneysaver!

This meal is easy to prepare, and the cost is under $5 to feed the entire gang. It's healthy and frugal. I'm working hard at getting my grocery bill lower, and this is one of my family's favorite dishes. Give it a try!
This serves 4 to 6 people, and is great with buttered toast or biscuits.

STIR FRIED CABBAGE AND NOODLES
1 head of cabbage
1 stick of margarine or butter
1 lg. bag egg noodles or any noodles
Salt and pepper to taste
Leftover meat or poultry
OR
a cooked sausage link or 1 lb. ground turkey.
OR
go meatless and add more vegetables! carrots, peas, mushrooms, so many things to try!
Cut the cabbage in half and slice it, then slice into 1" wide pieces. Heat a large skillet, add the stick of butter or margarine, add the cabbage,and stir fry until the cabbage is soft.
Cook the noodles in a large saucepan with water. Drain the noodles when done cooking.
Add the noodles to the skillet with the cabbage, stir together over low heat.
Add salt and pepper to taste. add your heated leftover meat or poultry, or add cooked sausage links or ground turkey. Serve hot, and enjoy!
